  • Launch your career in travel at WTM London

    With fresh content and a revamped format, this year’s Career in Travel session is going to be bigger and better than ever. We have moved the seminar down onto the show floor on our largest platform, the WTM Global Stage, which we’re filling with keynotes from established industry professionals, inspirational stories from our rising travel stars and practical advice on how to get your foot in the door of the travel and tourism industry. If you’re currently embarking on the start of your career, this session is not to be missed- engage with our expert speakers and give yourself the head start you need!

    A must attend for all students looking for advice on careers in the sector as well as valuable hints and tips for success, ITT Future You provides a unique opportunity to hear from a range of industry’s leading professionals and rising stars. This year will also include a number of interactive networking sessions with employers looking to connect with their future workforce and highlighting current graduate opportunities as well as expert advice including careers guidance, c.v. writing and interview techniques. This years event will take place in the heart of the show, on the Global Stage and promises to be bigger and better than ever!

  • Lisa McAuley, Managing Director B2B Tour Operations, dnata Travel Europe

    We’ll be kicking off the session with our keynote speaker, Lisa McAuley. Lisa joined dnata Travel Europe as Managing Director for B2B Tour Operations in January 2018 and is responsible for the much loved and respected UK travel brands Gold Medal, Travel 2, Pure Luxury and Simple Luxury and will be giving specialist advice based on her successful 30 year career in the travel industry.

  • Jenny Sowerby, Head of Marketing, Sandals & Beaches Resorts (Intern Session)

    Jenny studied Management and Tourism (BSc) at the University of Surrey where she graduated with First Class Honours in 2007. She spent her third year of University on a placement at hotel consultancy firm, TRI Hospitality Consulting, where she took on a full-time role as a Consultant at the end of her studies. Jenny stayed at the company for two years where she predominantly worked on financial feasibility reports for new hotel and leisure complex developments, in the UK and across Europe, before taking a leap into the travel marketing field. Her first marketing role was at travel giant, TUI, working across Hays & Jarvis, Thomson Tailormade and Jetsave, as a Brand Marketing Executive

    Callum Hale-Thomson is Head of Business Development at Cool Cousin, a venture-backed travel startup helping travellers to experience cities to the fullest. As Head of Community, he launched the platform in over 150 cities, building local communities of over 2000 tastemakers across the globe.In his current role, he oversees the company’s overall B2B sales strategy, forging strategic partnerships with some of the world’s largest travel brands.
