  • WTM Career in Travel –10 years of ITT Future You Conference

    WTM Career in Travel is our exclusive student programme designed to increase student opportunities within the travel and tourism industry.

    This year marks the 10th anniversary of ITT’s Future You, the premier student travel and tourism conference which is an integral part of the WTM Career in Travel day.

    The event takes place on Tuesday, 6th and Wednesday, 7th November during WTM London. Across the two days, students will have the chance to gain a greater understanding of the travel industry through our Events Programme showcasing valuable content with guest speakers and travel industry leaders.

    The ITT Future You Conference will be taking place on Wednesday 7th November, from 14:00 - 16:00.

  • ITT ‘Future You’ conference, Wednesday 7 November 2018, 14:00-16:00

    The premier student travel conference gives students the chance to hear from key travel and tourism professionals about building a career and their hints and tips for success.

    Plus - don’t miss out to talk to prospective employers following the conference to gain expert careers advice and learn about current innovations within the industry.

    We're delighted that Brian Young of G Adventures will be leading a remarkable line-up of speakers at ITT Future You on 7 November.

    Here, you will have the chance to listen to key travel speakers and hear their stories about building a career in the travel industry plus, gain expert and tailored career advice from prospective employers or you can find out about graduate opportunities and potential career paths by talking to a range of travel businesses in attendance. Participating companies will be announced closer to the show.

    Please note – spaces at the ‘ITT Future You’ conference are limited and are served on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tutors have to register their student group and students must be accompanied by a Tutor to attend the conference. We advise to register sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.

  • Brian Young, G Adventures

    In March 2015, after 11 years in the accommodation-only sector, Brian Young took on a new challenge when he became Managing Director at G Adventures for the EMEA region. G Adventures is the world's largest independently-owned small group adventure company, founded by Canadian entrepreneur, Bruce Poon Tip. Brian is no stranger to entrepreneurship himself, having founded On Holiday Group and Holiday Taxis. His travel experience spans operations, human resources (or Talent, as it is called at G Adventures), sales and marketing, and customer experience within the tour operating and online travel sectors.

  • Dominic Ashmore, Thomas Cook

    Dominic Ashmore is the Omni Channel Contact Optimisation Lead at Thomas Cook UK. Responsible for delivering seamless communication across all channels & optimising contacts into the UK Customer Contact Centre whilst developing new digital platforms within Retail. He initially joined Thomas Cook on the Future Leaders Commercial Graduate scheme in 2016 and has worked on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and chatbots in the travel industry with a particular focus on its use to improve the customer journey.

  • Helen Marano, Executive Vice President of External Affairs World Travel & Tourism Council

    Having joined WTTC in 2012, Helen Marano leads the efforts for expanding the awareness and engagement of WTTC and the T&T industry with the academia, other key tourism stakeholders and non-traditional organisations from the supply chain.

    Previously, she built the Government and Industry Affairs Department for the advocacy efforts of WTTC in presenting the industry perspective to government leaders and organisations.

    Helen is a seasoned leader, having previously led the National Travel & Tourism Office of the United States for over a decade. This involved industry relations, policy formation, and oversight of the statistical system for T & T for the USA. Her key accomplishments included opening up the USA for Chinese group travel, building the first Travel & Tourism Satellite Account, serving as the Chair for the Tourism Working Group of APEC, and collaborating in the formation of the Brand USA Corporation for marketing the USA.
